The AA2876 is a linear ramping pulse
generator designed to be used with Anaheim Automation Stepper
Motor Drivers. It has adjustable BASE and MAX speeds and
independent adjustments for acceleration (ramping up) and
deceleration (ramping down). The AA2876 also has a pulse output
which can be set as a positive going TTL/CMOS output, a negative
going TTL/CMOS output, or an open collector output. There are
three modes of operation: Two-input operation, Single Input with
ramping down, and Single Input with no ramping down. With the
Two-input mode, the operator can run at BASE speed for as long
as necessary, ramp up to MAX speed, and ramp down to BASE speed
again for as long as necessary. With the single input operation,
the pulse generator starts at BASE speed, but immediately ramps
up to MAX speed and keeps running at MAX speed while the input
is low. When the input goes high, the pulse generator will
either stop immediately or ramp down and then stop (depending on
ramp down option). |
