Anaheim Automation offers a selection of single-ended, differential, and high-resolution Incremental Rotary Encoders. These low-cost, ruggedly constructed encoders are available to cover shaft sizes ranging from .059" to 1.00" in diameter, capable of tracking up to 200,000 cycles per second, offer 32 to 2,500 cycles per revolution (CPR) and are available with an optional third index channel feature (model dependent).
Anaheim Automation can mount encoders for you! Click here to select an encoder to be installed to your motor. Encoder Cables and Centering Tools can be purchased separately.
With an acceptable minimum shaft length of .295” and shaft sizes ranging from .118” to .375” in diameter, the ENC-A8T Series is a miniature encoder designed for high
volume applications with space limitations. The ENC-A8T modules are designed to detect the rotary position with a code wheel. When attached to the end of a shaft, the encoder provides digital feedback information. This miniature encoder consists of an LED source lens and monolithic detector IC enclosed in a small polymer package. These
modules implement phased array detector technology providing superior performance and tolerances over traditional aperture mask type encoders. The ENC-A8T Series provides digital quadrature outputs on all resolutions and are capable of sinking or sourcing 8 mA each. These encoders are powered from a single +5VDC power supply and are RoHS
compliant.

The ENC-A2I, ENC-A3I and ENC-A5SI with Index Series are compatible with shaft sizes ranging from .079" to 1" in diameter and can be easily added to an existing application. This line of encoders features 50 to 10,000 Cycles Per Revolution (model-dependent), with each encoder powered by a single +5VDC power supply. An optional third index channel feature allows for a reference point and position tracking. These single-ended output encoders are designed for cable lengths up to 6 feet. It is recommended to use a shielded cable for all encoder wiring.

The ENC-A5DN and ENC-A4PD without Index Series is compatible with shaft sizes ranging from .059" to .394" in diameter. This series features 32 to 1,024 Cycles Per Revolution (model-dependent), with each encoder powered by a single +5VDC power supply. Differential inputs can offer enhanced performance by increasing both dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and maximizing noise rejection. It is recommended to use a shielded cable for all encoder wiring. The differential series is ideal for cable lengths that are 10 ft. or greater.

The ENC-A5DI with Index Series is compatible with shaft sizes ranging from .079" to .394" in diameter. This series of encoders features 50 to 1,250 Cycles Per Revolution, with each encoder powered by a single +5VDC power supply. An optional third and fourth index channel feature allows for a reference point and position tracking. Differential inputs offer enhanced performance by increasing both dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and maximizing noise rejection. It is recommended to use a shielded cable for all encoder wiring. The differential series is ideal for cable lengths that are 10 ft. or greater.
