These magnetic encoders are perfect for applications where your standard encoders fall short. The patented magnetic technology provides operational advantages over optical encoders in high-temperature, shock and vibration environments. All models are available in a range of resolutions, have differential outputs, and have the option of adding a third or fourth index channel. Our magnetic encoders offer reliable performance at an economical price. They are available in shaft sizes ranging from .125" to 1.125" in diameter and are capable of tracking up to 200,000 Cycles Per Second. Resolutions range from 100 to 2,560 Cycles Per Revolution (CPR), and are available in a modular or hollow casing.
The THS25 High Resolution, Magnetic Hollow-Shaft incremental encoder offers reliable performance at an economical price. Available in a large range of resolutions and offers superior performance compared to an optical encoder when placed in high shock and vibration environments. This hollow shaft encoder can handle shaft sizes that range from 0.25" to 1.125". The patented EMI circuitry provides protection from high-frequency electrical noise and background magnetic fields. This low profile design is perfect for feedback and vector control, robotics, web processing and printing. The THS25 comes enclosed in a rugged IP50 package for protection from debris with the option of upgrading to an IP66 housing option.

With an acceptable minimum shaft length of .295” and shaft sizes ranging from .118” to .375” in diameter, the ENC-A8T Series is a miniature encoder designed for high volume applications with space limitations. The ENC-A8T modules are designed to detect the rotary position with a code wheel. When attached to the end of a shaft, the encoder provides digital feedback information. This miniature encoder consists of an LED source lens and monolithic detector IC enclosed in a small polymer package. These modules implement phased array detector technology providing superior performance and tolerances over traditional aperture mask type encoders. The ENC-A8T Series provides digital quadrature outputs on all resolutions and are capable of sinking or sourcing 8 mA each. These encoders are powered from a single +5VDC power supply and are RoHS compliant.
